Jeffrey D Reese

Class of 2018

Hometown: Molino, Fla.
Undergraduate Degree: Pensacola Christian College

I was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Florida called Molino. At an early age, I was introduced to hard work on the farm. During my growing-up years, my brothers and I spent countless hours together on the farm working, which helped develop a closeness and unity among us. When I was 15, I had my first opportunity to travel to another country on a mission trip. On this trip to Ghana, West Africa, I was introduced firsthand to a population suffering from starvation, poor sanitation, lack of supplies and a severe lack of medical attention. This mission trip influenced me so greatly that I returned for two more summer trips to Ghana, where I continued to teach elementary and high school classes in small schools. During my four years of college, I had numerous opportunities for activities from serving as an elected student officer for one year to using my musical abilities in both church and a local retirement home that I visited each Sunday afternoon. I also was privileged to serve as a volunteer firefighter during my last two years of college.
