Job Description

Serves as director of the fourth-year geriatric medicine clerkship.


Dr. Mavroides has been practicing general internal medicine and geriatrics for 28 years. In 1983, Dr. Mavroides established a primary care clinic in Brookfield, MA through the private practice option of the National Health Service. He moved to Florida in 1989 and opened a primary care internal medicine and geriatric practice in Okeechobee. Dr. Mavroides became the first full-time chief medical officer for the Seminole Tribe of Florida in 2012. He has served as chief of medicine for three different hospitals and currently is on the board of trustees at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee. His other faculty appointments include adjunct professor of psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and clinical preceptor for the ARNP graduate students of Florida Atlantic University.
