Brief
In recognition of Rare Disease Day, a global observance dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for individuals affected by rare diseases, the College of Medicine's Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases (IPRD) will host a news conference and research symposium.
Description

The event will begin with a news conference including FSU President Richard McCullough, Florida Rep. Adam Anderson, members of the FSU Board of Trustees and other university leaders. It will be followed by a research symposium featuring newly-appointed IPRD Associate Director David Ledbetter, Ph.D., FACMG, and IPRD scientists who will present their latest findings. The symposium will provide an opportunity for researchers, clinicians and the broader community to engage in discussions regarding innovations in pediatric rare disease diagnosis and treatment.
