Introduction

Cover the Uninsured Week is a national initiative to raise awareness about Americans who do not have health insurance.

Description

Join us Nov. 27 through Dec. 4 for an eye-opening week of events at the Florida State University College of Medicine that examine what it means to lack sufficient health coverage. Who are the uninsured? What are the obstacles that Floridians in particular face? Can we do anything about it?

Students, faculty and speakers from abroad delve into these topics and address the status quo using a framework that includes aspects of education, potential pathways to improvement, and actions that we can all take in the meantime. Above all, CTUW seeks to put a human element on the statistics.

Join us for a wholesome week of invigorating discussion regarding a quandary that impacts every community, big or small.

Lunch/Reception will be provided at all events.
