Analucia Cadavid

Class of 2018

Hometown: Lake Worth, Fla.
Undergraduate Degree: University of Florida

Analucia graduated magna cum laude and cum laude from the University of Florida in 2014 with degrees in biology and psychology. During her undergraduate years, she worked under Dr. Charles Baer studying the effects of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in C. elegans nematodes. Their main focus -- and, later, the topic of her senior thesis -- was the mutational variance seen in the median time of death (LT50). Analucia was also a site officer for the University of Florida Mobile Outreach Clinic, a student-run clinic that provides free primary care to the underserved in Alachua County. She also played on the UF women’s club water polo team for most of undergrad. Analucia is not only proud to be following in her brother’s footsteps at the FSU College of Medicine but also excited to be part of a program that values community and is dedicated to creating compassionate physicians.
