Pre-Health Advising: Overview

The Pre-Health Advisor assists students to integrate all of the components required for a competitive professional school application including superior grades (especially in the prerequisite course work), a variety of clinical experiences, supportive letters of recommendation, and a well-written personal statement. Direction and support are offered from the initial advising meeting through the entire application process.

Students entering college with accelerated credit need to plan their premedical track carefully and, use the Guide for Accelerated Credit Students to get started.

Appointments are currently prioritized for FSU students and alumni. *  

FSU students and alumni can schedule an appointment with a prehealth advisor using the online appointment scheduling site (scroll down to "Pre-Med/Health Advising"). 

Freshmen and Sophomores: Use "Freshman/Sophomore Prehealth Advising" service. 
Upper Level and post-bac students: Select "Junior/Senior/Alumni Prehealth Advising" services. 

*Appointment availability for non-FSU students is limited depending on the time of year, application season, and demand for advising.  Prospective students may consult with an FSU prehealth advisor in late summer and mid-December as advisor availability permits.
