Andrew Calzadilla, M.D., completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine and is practicing as an intensivist at Baptist Health South Florida and serving as faculty at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.  Posted 2.02.21.

Brandon Cook, M.D., completed his fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and is now an orthopedic spine surgeon at Orthopaedic Associates in Destin, Florida. Also, he and Casey Willingham Cook welcomed their child, Colay Cook, on Nov. 16, 2019. Posted 4.6.20.

Nicole De Jesus-Brugman, M.D., completed her pediatric critical-care fellowship at Indiana University and is now working at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children PICU as staff and an associate professor. De Jesus-Brugman also got married in May 2019.  Posted 2.02.21.

Zach Folzenlogen, M.D., completed his neurosurgery residency and enfolded endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine-Denver and is now the director of endovascular neurosurgery at Highland Ranch Hospital and an assistant professor of neurosurgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  Posted 2.02.21.

Garrett Brown, M.D., has completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at Tampa General Hospital and begun practicing as an interventional cardiologist at Heart Specialists of Sarasota.  Posted 2.02.21.

Emily Dodenhoff M.D., completed her pediatric critical care fellowship at University of Alabama Medical Center at Birmingham and is now currently working on a pediatric hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at UAB.  Posted 8.31.21.

Cindy Healy, M.D., and husband Ian Healy welcomed their second child, Evelyn Cynthia Healy, in early August.  Posted 2.02.21.

Diana Marchese, M.D., completed her pediatric rehabilitation fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and is now practicing at a pediatric rehabilitation practice through Kaleida Health at Oishei Children’s Hospital and the Robert Warner Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo, New York.  Posted 2.02.21.

Joshua Smith, M.D., completed his pulmonary critical care medicine fellowship and is now an assistant professor of pulmonary sciences and critical care at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colorado. Posted 4.6.20.

Heather Staples, M.D., completed her pediatric pulmonology fellowship as chief resident and is now an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at Palmetto Health Richland-University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. Posted 4.6.20.

Rashad Sullivan, M.D., has been named chief resident at his orthopedic surgery residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and will begin an adult orthopedic reconstruction fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa in summer 2020. Posted 4.6.20.

Mary-Margaret Allen, M.D., completed a surgical pathology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is now in practice with Mease Pathology Associates in Dunedin. Posted 8.7.19.

Jesse Boodoo, M.D., completed a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He has returned to practice at the Sarasota Arthritis Center. Posted 8.7.19.

Erica Delbecq, M.D., is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and a pediatric hospitalist at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is also a clinical instructor of medicine and an adult hospitalist at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Posted 8.7.19.

Zeena Mae O Bentinganan Cortes, M.D., is the medical director of the Community Medicine Clinic at Florida Hospital, and has joined the FSU College of Medicine faculty. Posted 4.1.18.

Erin (Bascom) Carlquist, M.D., is a dermatopathologist at KWB Pathology Associates in Tallahassee. Posted 7.16.18.

Kyle D Powers, M.D., completed his Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship with the National Institutes of Health, He is now practicing as the Outpatient Medical Director of Palliative Care with Community Palliative Consultants in Jacksonville, Fla. Posted 4.1.18.

Kathleen Relihan, M.D., was chief resident this past year in the general surgery residency program at Orlando Health. She and classmate Brittany Warren, M.D., were listed in Orlando Family Magazine’s Super Women column as physicians who had assisted victims of the Pulse nightclub shootings in June 2016. Posted 7.16.18.

Tabitha L Schrufer-Poland, Ph.D., M.D., completed an OB-GYN residency at University of Missouri. She is now practicing at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. Posted 4.1.18.

Mary-Margaret Allen, M.D., completed the pathology residency training program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and has begun a hematopathology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center Magnolia Campus in Tampa. Posted 10.1.17.

Elizabeth Ault, M.D., graduated from the Louisiana State University-Our Lady of the Lake Psychiatry Residency Program after serving as chief resident during the 2016-17 year. She received the 2017 Excellence in Psychiatry Award from the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association as well as the 2017 Clinical Excellence Award from her residency program. She is practicing general psychiatry at Family Focus and Associates of Baton Rouge, a private practice in Louisiana. She also serves as the deputy coroner for the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office. Posted 10.1.17.

Erica (Steinvorth) Delbecq, M.D., graduated from the internal medicine/pediatrics residency program at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She is now a pediatric hospitalist at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Posted 10.1.17.

Kate Nelson, M.D., completed the family medicine residency program at Atlanta Medical Center and is now working in family medicine in Thomasville, Georgia. Posted 10.1.17.

Richard Ramonell, M.D., completed the internal medicine residency program at Emory University School of Medicine and served as chief resident. He will be completing a fellowship in pulmonary and critical-care medicine at Emory. He is married to classmate Kimberly (Hemphill) Ramonell, M.D., who is a general surgery resident at Emory. Lisa Sappenfield, M.D., served as administrative chief resident this past year while completing the obstetrics-gynecology residency program at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She will be an assistant professor at USF working in general OB-GYN next year. Posted 10.1.17.

Shannon (Scott) Schellhammer, M.D., is a hospitalist and resident faculty at Winnie Palmer Hospital, part of the Orlando Health system. She completed a residency in obstetrics-gynecology at Orlando Health. She and husband Mark Schellhammer welcomed their son last year. Posted 10.1.17.

Shawn Shah, M.D., completed the first year of his gastroenterology fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center following an internal medicine residency at DartmouthHitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.
