Updates in 2020

Irmanie Hemphill, M.D., and husband Richard Hemphill Jr. welcomed their first son, Richard Hemphill III, in March 2019. In February they moved back to South Florida, where she practices telemedicine in Pembroke Pines.  Posted 2.02.21.

H. William Higgins, M.D., and wife Kachiu Lee Higgins welcomed their third child, Parker Lawson Higgins, on Dec. 12, 2019. He is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery’s Presidents Award.  Posted 2.02.21.

Steele Lancaster, M.D., has become president and doctor at North Florida Rehab Solutions in Tallahassee. Posted 4.6.20.

Melissa (Catenacci) Liebowitz, M.D., is director of quality for the Division of Neonatology, and serves as medical director for the Intensive Care Nursery Follow-up Clinic, at the University of San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital. Liebowitz completed the pediatrics residency program at UCSF in 2012 and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine in 2017. She is assistant clinical professor of pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology, and recently received the division’s Fellow Teaching Award.  Posted 2.02.21.

Rees Porta, M.D., has transitioned off active-duty status and is working as a civilian general surgeon at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.  Posted 2.02.21.

Stefanie Prada, M.D., and husband Ryan Panek welcomed their second child, Derek Ryan Panek, in August.  Posted 2.02.21.

Dolly P. White, M.D., is now a physician at Good Samaritan Health Center of Cobb County in Marietta, Georgia. Posted 4.6.20.

Maureen Payant McKenna, M.D., and Theresa Payant McKenna, M.D., completed an additional residency in emergency medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. They are now practicing emergency physicians at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee. Posted 8.7.19.

Jonathan Journey, M.D., is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Posted 7.16.18.

Becky McGilligan, M.D., recently established McGilligan MD: Direct Primary Care in Cincinnati, Ohio. Posted 7.16.18.

Mickelson MomPremier, M.D., founded MomPremier Eye Institute to serve the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a vitreoretinal specialist. Posted 7.16.18.

Dolly Penn, M.D., is now Dolly P. White, M.D. She and classmate DeJuan White, M.D., are married. Posted 8.7.18.

Dolly Penn, M.D., is a medical officer and program director in the Healthcare Assessment Research Branch of the Healthcare Delivery Research Program at the National Cancer Institute in Rockville, Maryland. Posted 7.16.18.

Richard Rodriguez, M.D., is currently an emergency physician with Emergency Medical Associates of Tampa Bay, the associate medical director of the Emergency Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital South and an affiliate assistant professor at the USF Morsani College of Medicine. Posted 4.1.18.

Mary C. Watson, M.D., is an emergency physician at Calhoun Liberty Hospital in Blountstown, Fla. Posted 4.1.18.

 

Updates in 2017

Stephanie A. Chase, M.D., completed the obstetrics-gynecology residency program at Greenville Health Systems in South Carolina in 2013. She immediately began practicing at Catawba Women’s Center in Hickory, North Carolina, and became a partner in January 2016. She was married in September 2015 and welcomed a daughter in September 2016. Posted 10.1.17.

Eboni M. Ellis Farabee, M.D., has been practicing family medicine at Novant Health Maplewood Family Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, since 2012. She married Walter Farabee in November. Posted 10.1.17.

H. William Higgins II, M.D., received the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Award for Outstanding Service. He serves on various ASDS committees and practices at University Dermatology in Providence, Rhode Island, where he is part of the Mohs surgery unit. Posted 10.1.17.

Vinod P. Suresh, M.D., is an attending psychiatrist at Lyons Veterans Affairs in New Jersey, where he specializes in PTSD and women’s trauma. He completed a psychiatry residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York. Posted 10.1.17.
