The Jules B. and Annie Lou Chapman Memorial Garden

The Chapman Memorial Garden, completed and dedicated in May 2024, provides a space for students to rest and reflect on the humanistic practice of medicine. It is a revitalizing space where students and faculty can relax, meditate and recharge. The space connects the outside area of the medical school to the courtyard, giving a sense of seclusion and tranquility. The garden has sitting areas, along with plenty of natural sitting space and shade to encourage people to sit, eat lunch, or have small group meetings. It also includes a water feature that aids in the relaxing, healing nature of the space.
