About the Program

The FSU Family Medicine Residency Program at Gulf Coast Medical Center (GCMC) will be recruiting our first class of residents to begin training in July 2028 pending accreditation!

We are a 12:12:12 program established through a strategic partnership between Lee Health and Florida State University. This residency represents a significant institutional investment by Lee Health to address the vital need for primary care physicians in Southwest Florida. By training at GCMC, you join a robust clinical system dedicated to providing high-acuity, full-spectrum care to the diverse and rapidly growing population of Fort Myers and the surrounding Gulf Coast community.

As a resident in our program, you will train within a dynamic and expanding multi-specialty academic medical community.
