Michael J. Sweeney, M.D., a PIMS alumnus from 1975, has graciously volunteered to serve as the inaugural chair of this board. Ryan Little, Senior Director for Development, and Alexa Von Staden are working with Dr. Sweeney to develop the vision for the board. Our mission is to empower our alumni to engage in the activities of the College and to provide guidance, resources and support to our students, alumni, faculty and staff. 

As an alumnus, we ask that you take on an important leadership role as a founding member of this board. While we truly understand your many existing professional demands, in particular your time, we cannot emphasize the importance of your involvement and will be cognizant of your time. We propose to conduct two meetings a year, a Reunion (mid-April) and Homecoming (mid-October or early November). Examples of duties include contributing to an alumni blog once a year and helping with our efforts in obtaining updated information from your classmates each summer.

We are embracing our legacy and are calling upon our nearly 800 Program in Medical Science alumni to serve in addition to our College of Medicine alumni. They will be able to provide tremendous insight and guidance in this process. I encourage you to consider serving as a representative of your graduating class.
