Dr. Alma Littles named dean of the College of Medicine
Dr. Alma Littles named new dean of the Florida State University College of Medicine. Dr. Littles is a dedicated physician and academic leader whose career embodies the college’s mission.
After graduating from medical school and the Family Medicine Residency Program at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, she returned home to Gadsden County to practice medicine and help lead medical education. She brings a wealth of knowledge, a distinguished career, and a deep commitment to supporting the next generation of health care providers to this role.
Dr. Littles has served the college since its inception. She was founding chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Rural Health, spent nearly 20 years as senior associate dean for medical education and academic affairs, and stepped into the role of interim dean in 2023.
