What do you like about HMSS?

My favorite part of HMSS is the close-knit community! I absolutely love that I have been surrounded by like-minded peers, mentors, and advisors who all have the common goal of serving underserved and underrepresented communities, which truly aligns with my vision in medicine.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Service to others has always been a core value in my life. Through the years of shadowing and being in health science classes, it came to my attention that I wanted to serve in the field of medicine. I wish to make a positive impact on as many individuals as possible with the use of passion, compassion, and service. I hope to one day better my community through healthcare by making meaningful and lasting changes, one individual at a time.
