What do you like about HMSS?

HMSS provides a unique sense of community where members can relate to one another through shared interests. My favorite part of HMSS has been the relationships I have formed, whether that be friendship or mentorship.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Growing up, one of my nuclear family members required specific medical treatment that required my family to travel out of town so he could receive proper care. Unfortunately, many families do not have the same luxury of being able to afford travel, take off work, and find providers to receive the care they need. My pursuit of a career in medicine is rooted in my hope of being able to make healthcare more accessible for people living with healthcare disparities.
