A Warm Welcome to Ms. Ericka Horne, MPH, CHES®
Ms. Ericka Horne, MPH, CHES® joined the Department of Family Medicine and Rural Health Friday, August 11, 2023, as the Community Engagement Research Administrator. In this role, Ms. Horne oversees the PANDEMIC Grant core events and activities such as community/neighborhood meetings and events, educational forums, and conferences.
Ms. Horne earned her Bachelor of Science degree, here, at Florida State University and her Master of Public Health Degree at Benedictine University, where she obtained two certificates: one, in Health Education and Promotion and another, in Epidemiology. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing and sits on several boards for the Florida Public Health Association and the American Public Health Association.
Ms. Horne is a McKnight Dissertation Fellow and will complete her Doctor of Public Health degree with a specialization in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University next year.
