RSVP for April 16 reunion
×
The planners of our annual Alumni Reunion hope to welcome countless PIMS and College of Medicine alumni April 16. And (hint, hint) they'd love to get an RSVP from you.
Every alum is welcome, of course. Special guests this year are the College of Medicine’s Class of 2006, plus the Program in Medical Sciences grads who transferred in 1971, ’81, ’91 and 2001.
Have you been putting off this decision? Need a few reminders of why you ought to make the trip? Here we go:
- Renew your old connections. It’s been years since you saw some of these people who were so important to you during medical school. Now’s the time to get reacquainted.
- Let Myra Hurt, Helen Livingston and other faculty members see you again. They’d love to see how their former students are doing and introduce you to the newer faculty.
- Take the tour. See the changes in the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center, the atrium and the brand-new fourth floor.
- Learn something. There will be an excellent CME/CLE program, “Helping Patients and Families Plan for Future Difficult Medical Choices: Death Panels or Good Medical Practice?”
- Relax in the courtyard with barbecue, music and old friends.
- Rejuvenate your football fever. Yes, Coach Jimbo Fisher’s team has the spring football game that day. And the night before there’s a Downtown Block Party that even includes fireworks.
- Enjoy Tallahassee again. Other events that weekend are the Chain of Parks Art Festival and performances of the FSU Flying High Circus.
So we’re eagerly awaiting your RSVP. Questions? Please contact Alexa Von Staden at alexa.vonstaden@med.fsu.edu or (850) 645-9428.
