FSU College of Medicine students from several regional campuses represented the university and its Family Medicine community at the 2026 American Academy of Family Physicians FUTURE Conference, where they celebrated accomplishments, reconnected with friends and shared their enthusiasm for Family Medicine.

Holly Vu, M.D. Class of 2027, was recognized with the AAFP Emerging Leaders Institute Best Leadership Project Award. As part of that recognition, she was invited back to FUTURE this year to serve as an Emerging Leaders Institute mentor and faculty member. She also had the opportunity to present her leadership project through both oral and poster presentations. Congratulations to Holly on this well-deserved achievement!

The conference also provided an opportunity to welcome Naoosha Mohammad into the Emerging Leaders Institute, celebrate Madison McCraney’s contributions as a Student Director, and bring Holly, Naoosha, Madison and Tomas together for a special reunion.

Their achievements, friendships and support for one another reflect the leadership and sense of community at the heart of Family Medicine. We are incredibly proud of Holly, Naoosha, Madison and Tomas for representing the FSU College of Medicine so well, and we look forward to all they will accomplish as future Family Medicine physicians!
