Dr. Ericka Horne was honored with the Florida Public Health Association's Meritorious Service Award during the 2026 FPHA Annual Conference, where she also presented "From Hesitancy to Uptake: Lessons for Rural Health Practice from North Florida.

During the conference, Dr. Horne was honored with the FPHA Meritorious Service Award in recognition of her outstanding service and commitment to public health. She will also begin her term as second vice president of the Florida Public Health Association, continuing her leadership and advocacy for healthier communities across Florida.
