What do you like about HMSS?

My favorite part of HMSS is the atmosphere during meetings and events. There is a collective drive towards serving the underserved that I deeply align with. Everyone has been so kind, and I can't wait to continue helping those around me alongside this group of like-minded and motivated peers!

 

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Growing up in a rural community, I saw firsthand how limited access to healthcare forced families to travel long distances at significant cost to see specialty providers. Through my family’s experience providing foster care to children with unique medical and developmental needs, I witnessed how difficult it was to find services capable of meeting those needs locally. These experiences have inspired me to pursue medicine so I can help reduce barriers to care and serve communities that are often overlooked.
