Favorite Part of HMSS:

HMSS is such a unique program that offers guidance and mentorship for individuals passionate about medicine and making the community a better place. This program also allows undergraduate students to familiarize themselves with the FSU College of Medicine. HMSS also fosters a welcoming and family-like community surrounding you with individuals who support and genuinely care about your success throughout your undergraduate career. Being a part of such a close-knit community of like-minded individuals is a one-of-a-kind experience and I am overjoyed to be a part of this program.

Why Medicine?

I wanted to go into medicine as this field combines both my passion for the sciences and serving others into one career. By being a doctor I can play the main role in bettering the community around me. Through my volunteering and shadowing experiences, I was able to observe physicians who genuinely cared about their patients' well-being at a time of uncertainty and fear. From this experience, I saw firsthand the positive impact that doctors make in an individual's life.
