What do you like about HMSS?

I love that each person in HMS is truly dedicated to helping others and it shows in the mutual respect we have for one another. Even though I joined during the pandemic, I have felt the overwhelming welcome of all the members. Everyone wants the best for everyone else in their future endeavors and all of the upperclassmen are willing to sit down one on one and help you plan out your goals.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I want to go into medicine in order to help bridge the gap between those who are uninsured but still need care. I think that we need to make healthcare for accessible in order to protect those who need it most in our communities. I want to advocate for those who are unable to help themselves by guaranteeing quality, patient centered, care that promotes a healthy lifestyle.
