What do you like about HMSS?

One of the greatest aspects about HMSS is that it is a wonderfully close-knit community of people. Being a part of such a society allows you to build strong relationships with both friends and mentors and gives you the opportunity to bond with people who share similar interests. HMSS presents me with the perfect chance to surround myself with like-minded people who encourage me to excel and push my limits in all aspects of my life.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Medicine has always been a major passion of mine from a young age that has further blossomed after years of volunteering at hospitals and clinics. I have always strived to apply myself in ways that I know will benefit those around me, and practicing medicine combines my passion for science with my personal commitment to helping those suffering from situations they cannot always control. After witnessing friends and family suffer from disease, I have spent my life realizing that we cannot always prevent health incidents from occurring. However, I do believe that we should do everything possible to improve the lives we can help and it is this idea that truly motivates me to pursue a medical career.
