Favorite Part of HMSS?:

My favorite part of HMSS is the unique paradox I witness between diversity and unity amongst the members. It is truly refreshing to see such a diverse body of students who uniquely encompass similar ideals of passion, service, and dedication towards the medical field. This quality of HMSS never fails to inspire me in learning from my talented peers and engage in practices and ideologies that strengthen my skills as a pre-med student and future doctor.

Why Medicine?:

The reasons I chose medicine go beyond the formulaic concept of having a sincere passion for science and a love for service. To me, medicine offers me a path to alleviate the pain and suffering of others. The values that doctors possess towards their patients and team members reflect the values that I aspire to instill in my life: kindness, empathy, and a drive to learn something new everyday. I want to be a doctor in order to influence others to live the best life they can in every possible way. To be there for someone, and let them know that you see them and want the best for them, is in itself the most fulfilling role in this world.
