What do you like about HMSS?

Very few people realize that their passion lies in medicine at an early age. HMSS brings these people together and enables them to develop an extraordinary connection with each other.

Being surrounded by individuals who strive to attain a common goal amplifies the passion I have to become a physician. In addition, the mentorship I receive toward academics, research, volunteering, and social connections facilitates a smooth transition into college. This level of advice and support from our directors, peers, and other faculty presents the greatest aspect of HMSS.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

My motivation to become a physician comes from my role model, my grandfather. Throughout my interactions with my grandfather, I realized that the reason he had such high value and respect in his town (in India) was because of his reputation of being a caring, affectionate physician. His dream, that another physician in the family will continue his legacy, and my passion for the field of medicine inspires me to become a physician.
