What do you like about HMSS?

I love the volunteer and mentoring opportunities it has provided me during my undergraduate years. HMSS also allows me to surround myself with like-minded individuals who have similar plans and goals involving careers in medicine.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I have always thought of myself as a scientific thinker: biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physics all intrigue me. Helping people and serving the community around me has also been one of my passions throughout my life. I believe that it is important to give back to others and the community. Medicine allows me to combine my interests in the sciences and continual education with my genuine love and desire to help people. I want to be able to use my time and talents to serve minority populations, including pediatrics.
