What do you like about HMSS?

I love HMSS because it provides an immense support system of kind and intelligent like-minded students who will help propel me to reach my full potential. We push each other to be successful in our endeavors and provide opportunities to continuously give back to the community. All of the Honors Medical Scholars share similar goals and are willing to do anything in order to help each other reach them. Also, we are lucky enough to have incredible advisers that truly care about our well-being and success as students.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I want my love for humanity and people to be expressed in the work I do for the rest of my life. I want to go into medicine in order to help the people of this world that do not have the power, knowledge, or resources to help themselves and I want more people to experience a healthy life. Since I have to opportunity to gain knowledge that could change the world, I must take advantage of this and do the very most that I can to serve others. People are a passion and serving them is what I am meant to do in my lifetime.
