What do you like about HMSS?

I appreciate the community and the focused preparation for medicine. HMSS brings the resources of FSU to YOU and gently forces you to broaden your horizons. Through HMSS you get once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to interact with professionals from various disciplines and, of course, forge lifelong connections with your like-minded peers.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I seek to improve my small corner of the world, one person at a time. Any good I can bring into another person's life will multiply itself across their family and friends. I first encountered medicine through first aid trainings in the Boy Scouts of America, and again through more advanced trainings during my time in the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps. My experiences in both institutions made me fall in love with medicine and helping others. Going into medicine is the result of combining my love of healing with my desire to improve my slice of the world.
