What do you like about HMSS?

The sense of community and getting to meet people on a similar journey toward a career in the medical field. At some point in our college experience, we face a few of the same struggles–from having to complete the same prerequisites for medical school to taking the MCAT–and it's good to have a supportive network that you can turn to for advice or just as a reminder that you're not alone in this.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Medicine has been something that's always caught my attention and fascinated me since I was in elementary. My pediatrician was an incredibly kind and friendly individual, and at some point I decided that I wanted to be that person for other people, with a focus on children, at some point in my life. Every experience I've had that included the medical field in some way, shape, or form has just reinforced the fact that my true passion lies in helping people through medicine.
