What do you like about HMSS?

I really enjoy the fact that Honors Medical Scholars allows students with similar goals to interact and form a tight-knit community. With the help of our amazing advisors, Dr. Campbell and Dr. Foster, I am able to sculpt a pathway for my future career as a Physician. I value the opportunity to work with other like-minded students in the Honors Medical Scholars mentorship program because they offer great insight. Most importantly I enjoy the service opportunities and the society’s passion to operate in underserved areas.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

My fascination with anatomy and physiology is one of the main reasons why I want to become a physician. I also enjoy helping others and I would like to become a Pediatrician because it would allow me to serve a community in need. In the future I would like to be part of a health center that is located in communities that are not easily equipped with access to healthcare.
