What do you like about HMSS?

 My favorite part of being involved in the Honors Medical Scholars Program is the sense of community. During my college decision process, it was very important for me to be part of a small group that share similar goals as I transition to college life and being away from home. I love that I am able to create new friendships, share ideas, and learn from others, all while allowing me to pursue a career in medicine.

 

Why do you want to go into medicine?

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved science and making a difference in people’s lives. A career in medicine allows me to pursue my passion for both. I look forward to helping and serving families in their strongest and weakest moments of life. I am excited to create new relationships and meet people from all different walks of life, learning from their highs and lows, and gaining wisdom along the way. I hope to offer both physical and spiritual wellbeing and create a healthcare setting that is welcoming and inclusive where everyone can thrive.
