What do you like about HMSS?

I love that HMS is allows me to meet and interact with students with common interests and aspirations. There is a great sense of community with all of the other scholars. In addition, our advisors really care about our success and work hard to support us as pre-med students. I am so grateful to be a part of HMS!

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Health is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Medical professionals enjoy the privilege of being trusted with their patient's personal wellbeing while acting as advocates and confidants. This profession is very challenging, but I cannot see myself pursuing anything else. I am drawn to medicine because it combines my passion for science with a higher purpose of serving others. Advocating for others throughout my career is very meaningful as I have the opportunity to make an impact on individual lives.
