What do you like about HMSS?

There are countless benefits of being a member of HMSS. It is a great way to meet a small group of people who are dedicated to serving others. The older members are so welcoming and more than willing to share their experiences with us. My favorite part of HMSS, however, has to be the relationships I have formed with faculty members in the College of Medicine. They have really helped me find ways to pursue my passions and are always very supportive of my goals.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I really do not know how to even put my passion for medicine into words but I will go ahead and try. In terms of my interests, I have always been enthusiastic about science and community service. Pursuing a career in medicine will allow me to have the best of both worlds. The experience of witnessing a sick patient walk into your medical practice and leave in a better state of health is truly priceless. Other than that, I am driven by the steep demand for genuinely passionate physicians that exists in our world today.
