What do you like about HMSS?

I love the family the HMSS has brought me! The people I met through this program are easily the closest friends I've made. The program does an amazing job of fostering relationships between its members, especially through the mentors and their mentees! Everyone came into this program from different backgrounds, but an amazing community was made with shared goals, mutual support, and a commitment to growing together!

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I want to pursue medicine because it combines my passion for building meaningful, patient-centered relationships with the ability to make an actual difference in people’s lives. For me, medicine is about uplifting patients, addressing needs inside and outside the clinic, and being a constant source of support in what could be their most vulnerable moments. It's the unique blend of compassion, science, and advocacy towards greater health that draws me towards this field.
