What do you like about HMSS?

I love being around like-minded people who share similar ideologies about medicine and healthcare. I have such a strong bond with everyone in the program. I love going to the meetings and learning about ways we can positively impact the community while preparing for medical school.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

Access to healthcare is a human right and my unique perspective as a patient has taught me the significance of advocating for myself and others. My long and arduous journey with AMPS and Lyme Disease fuels my desire to research and find solutions for those who suffer from chronic pain. I understand the importance of holistically delivering care and researching to find the root cause of disease. My aspiration is to open a comprehensive pain clinic that incorporates a holistic diagnostic of health complications and healing. My life mission is to address the injustices in our healthcare system while advancing health equity as a medical doctor.
