What do you like about HMSS?

My favorite part of HMSS is that the program creates a strong sense of community that feels like one big family. Also, it allows me to connect with my peers who may come from a different background as me but share the same goals and interests as me.

 

Why do you want to go into medicine?

During my time volunteering at food drives for Broward College, I noticed that many of the individuals waiting for food suffered from severe health issues such as missing limbs or breathing problems. Knowing that these individuals once helped serve the community that raised me into the person I am today, I knew that it was my job to give back to them. From that moment on, I was determined to go into healthcare. I realized that going into medicine would offer the best resources and knowledge that I would need to treat and improve the lives of those in communities such as my own.
