What do you like about HMSS?

My favorite part of HMSS is speaking to all of the other members. You get to hear about so many different cultures and experiences, get advice, and most importantly you get to talk to a group of people just as driven as yourself.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I would like to go into medicine because I feel as though this field will allow me to help many people, and I can share my knowledge which might just impact someone’s life. I also think that I’d bring a new perspective to the medical community, particularly in my underserved hometown. For example, my hometown is full of older, majority male doctors. That doesn’t make for a very inclusive or even welcoming environment for all patients, as a young female doctor I would create a more welcoming environment.
