What do you like about HMSS?

I really like all of the available resources that HMSS provides us with. Not only can we get help from our fellow HMSS members, but we can also get help from our faculty advisors who work in the medical school. This organization definitely provides me with great support to pursue my goal of becoming a physician.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I think medicine is a fascinating field, and I would like to be a part of it as it grows and advances. In addition, I feel that this is a career which can enhance and improve life, and that is a job that I would be proud to do.

Ilisa entered the Honors Medical Scholars Program in 2009 and is now a member of the FSU College of Medicine Class of 2017. She is at the Main Campus in Tallahassee for the 1st and 2nd years of med school.
