What do you like about HMSS?

As soon as I got to campus my first semester, I had my "family" of HMSS to help guide me before I could even get lost. I enjoy being around motivated, like-minded students with similar goals and enjoy the socials and volunteering events we have. We are a support group for one another, and I am grateful for the older HMSS mentors that supported me throughout my undergraduate years, and I am glad I have the opportunity to advise younger HMSS members in return.

What is medical school like?

Medical school has been an incredible experience so far. It is a lot of work, but very rewarding. It’s a great feeling to go to school every day and actually love what you learn. I have met so many interesting people including patients, faculty, and classmates and that is what keeps me motivated. There is a lot of support for students so no matter how overwhelming things may get, you always have someone looking out for you.
