Please welcome Dr. John Naliyath to the role of Clerkship Director for Psychiatry at the Fort Pierce Regional Campus.  Dr. Naliyath is in practice at Lawnwood Behavioral Health. He has served as clerkship faculty since 2016, teaching third- and fourth-year medical students.

The Florida State University College of Medicine remains proud to have community physicians serve as teachers and role models for our students.   The Fort Pierce Regional Campus hosts third year medical students, fourth year medical students and senior physician assistant students for their clinical work experience in area hospitals and physician practices prior to their graduation.

Psychiatry is a required course for both medical students and physician assistant students. Dr. Naliyath’s wealth of experience will ensure that all students graduating from our programs will gain a lifelong appreciation for the importance of empathetic and coordinated psychiatry care.
