The sports medicine interest group is a great way to gain exposure into the field of sports medicine. This includes all angles of sports medicine from working with collegiate and high school athletes, to observing some of the orthopedic surgeons of Tallahassee.
The purpose of this organization is to expose people to the field of sports medicine. We work with the athletic trainers of FSU sport teams as well local sports medicine physicians and assist in the care of collegiate and high school athletes. In addition, we volunteer at IRONMAN Florida by helping in the medical tent and we perform physican exams on the Special Olympics athletes at MedFest.
