Giving to the College of Medicine

The FSU College of Medicine focuses on educating outstanding physicians for practice in community settings. Students benefit from a well-structured continuum of education in the biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences. Subjects such as anatomy and pathology are presented in a clinically relevant context using medical cases, as well as the latest educational technologies. Problem-based and small-group learning experiences help students develop their clinical acumen and learn to work as a team.

Private support has been critical to the development of the FSU College of Medicine. Endowed scholarships have helped attract a diverse student body, while endowed chairs have enabled the college to recruit and retain nationally prominent faculty. In addition, visionary donors have made possible many of the programs that set the college apart from its peers in areas such as medical informatics, clinical simulation and rural health research.
