Brittany grew up as the oldest of four children in Miami, where she grew to love other cultures and learned to serve her community. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. During college, Brittany volunteered as a leader in Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship and as tutor/mentor to one girl during her middle school years through Charlottesville Abundant Life. Following graduation, she returned to Miami to complete a post-baccalaureate science program at Florida International University. While in Miami, Brittany served as a leader with Caring For Miami's Mobile Health Unit, providing medical and dental care to under-resourced and uninsured communities around Miami-Dade County. In addition to local missions, she was involved in many international mission trips. Brittany learned the business aspect of medicine at Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center of Miami and worked in the emergency department as a scribe. She was also an active member and volunteer at her church. Brittany has a passion for gardening, cooking, enjoying outdoor activities, mentoring younger girls and spending time with her husband, Gray, and her family and friends. She feels blessed to have the opportunity to practice medicine and looks forward to serving people both locally and globally.
