What do you like about HMSS?
The Honors Medical Scholars is a community of students who are driven to become caring, passionate, and skilled physicians. Most of us are in student organizations, volunteering in the community, getting clinical experience, maintaining stellar GPA's, and still making time to spend with each other. The study groups and friendships we have created now will extend through our seven years at Florida State and beyond.
Why do you want to go into medicine?
The human body is infinitely captivating and often puzzling, but a doctor cannot provide care without first connecting with the person within. I will be pleased to work in a rural community as long as I can provide quality care, one patient at a time.
Amy-Joy entered the Honors Medical Scholars Program in 2008 and is now a member of the FSU College of Medicine Class of 2016. She is at the Main Campus in Tallahassee for the 1st and 2nd years of med school.
