As a community-based medical school, the Florida State University College of Medicine provides third- and fourth-year clinical training at regional medical school campuses around the state through affiliations with local physicians, ambulatory care facilities and hospitals.
At the Regional Medical School Campus - Pensacola, clerkship directors from the Pensacola area direct the students' rotations in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics-gynecology, geriatrics, psychiatry and emergency medicine. Additional community physicians serve as clerkship faculty in these and other clinical areas.
Mark Elliott, M.D. (Class of 2011) completes his Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Florida this year and will begin a sports fellowship August, 2016 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Naomi Salz Flock, M.D. (Class of 2014) has been selected as the 2016-2017 Chief Resident of her Family Medicine Residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.
Michael Simpson, M.D. (Class of 2012) has returned to Pensacola where he is a Hospitalist with Baptist Medical Group Hospitalists.
