Stephenie Scully is making a difference

One of the biggest challenges for mental health care is the ability to provide safe patient care in a timely manner. By starting the MHOOD (Mental Health Operation Outreach Division) in January 2018, division officer (at the time) Stephenie Scully helped to create a system that allows for same day access  to specialty care for active duty service officers and reservists. This system leverages existing military and community resources and focuses on collaboration between all the separate entities. The success of the program and impact on the patients and collaborative partners garnered first the interest of and then the accolades from higher ranking officers.
