Dr. Salahshor is an assistant professor in the FSU College of Medicine Interdisciplinary Medical Science. She has been a PA for over 24 years and has worked in Geriatrics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Bariatric Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Abdominal Transplant Surgery, Liver Transplant and Rural Health. She mentors students interested in any health care fields across the state and nation. She is the immediate past president of the Florida Academy of PAs and the first African American woman to hold this title. She serves on several committees, work groups and task forces. She completed her three-year term on PCORI’s Improvement in Healthcare Systems Panel in April 2016. She is a mental health first aid instructor certified in adults, higher education, and military and service.
