ACTS2 FB FlyerThe ACTS 2 Project is hosting a Facebook Live workshop on Medications and Dementia Caregiving at 7:00 PM-8:15 PM (Eastern Time) Thursday, August 13. This workshop will cover the pros and cons of medications for memory loss, what to know about medications for improving behavior and mood problems in persons with dementia, caregiver tips to increase cooperation in taking medications, as well as caregiver skills training and support. Featuring Dr. Angela Massey Hill, Professor and Associate Dean of Clinical Practice at the Taneja College of Pharmacy at the University of South Florida, the workshop is designed to provide practical information about the use of medications for persons with dementia. Personal stories of caregiver challenges and successes in managing medication-related problems and dementia care resources for family caregivers of older adults with dementia will also be shared. Elder care professionals, future caregivers and other interested community members are also strongly encouraged to join the workshop.
