This is aimed at healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and physicians in training. CME/CEU’s will be offered, 4.0 hours. This is a joint effort of many who are interested in improving the health of our community including Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition, the Florida Department of Health, Whole Child Leon, Capital Medical Society, Suwannee River AHEC, FSU College of Medicine, community leaders and several others. There is a $20 registration fee.

This conference aims to increase provider awareness about the importance of preconception health care to help prevent infant mortality and improve maternal child health. We would like providers to view every patient visit as an opportunity to discuss preconception health, assess and modify risk factors for adverse perinatal outcomes.
Description

• To encourage healthcare providers to devote one well child visit to individuals anticipating having children as an adult, as a component of pediatric care.
