Maria Raye Anne Ng

Raye graduated from the University of Florida in 2014 with a major in microbiology and cell science and minors in Chinese and health disparities in society. For two years she was a director of the Global Health Committee of UF Premed AMSA, where she coordinated and participated in international medical aid trips to Ecuador. She also volunteered at the Equal Access Clinic Network and Rahma Mercy Clinic, student-run clinics in Gainesville that provide free basic health care for the uninsured and underinsured. Upon graduation, Raye began working as a laboratory technician at the Otolaryngology Department at UF’s College of Medicine and later presented her project at the 2014 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting. Shortly afterward, her abstract was published in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and planning trips. She makes it a point to travel to a location she has never visited at least once a year.
