Ishaan Madhok

Ishaan graduated from the University of Florida in the spring of 2015 with his Bachelor of Science in zoology and minors in anthropology and health sciences. He was recognized with the Honors Medallion for his successful completion of UF’s Honors Program and has been inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. Ishaan spent time at Mpala Research Centre in the biodiverse Laikipia District of Kenya studying field biology and ecology and conducting research on how prey behavior may be modified by tree density. He additionally traveled to Nicaragua and Panama with Global Medical Training to work in a health-care team to provide medical care to various underserved communities. Ishaan volunteered and served on the Leadership Council of TOPSoccer in Gainesville, an outreach program that strives to bring the joys and benefits of playing soccer to children with disabilities through organized coaching and games. He has also served his community as a captain for Dance Marathon at UF, which benefits the Children’s Miracle Network. As a brother of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Ishaan participated in many philanthropies to raise money and awareness for various causes and held the leadership capacity of Honor Board chairman. Ishaan is an Eagle Scout and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He is excited to begin the rewarding journey to a career in medicine here at FSU.
